BIG WHEEL RACES [VIEW THE FLYER]
Canal Days will have a Big Wheel race for the kids on Second Street immediately after the parade! The races are for children’s ages 4-6, with heats running for each age group! Big Wheels will be provided! Be sure to bring your youngsters down to check out this new and fun event. Registrations forms are available online or at the Chamber Office. CHILDREN’S TENT [VIEW THE FLYER]
The Children’s tent will be busting with things to do this year and will run from 11 – 3 on Saturday. The Delphos Public Library will once again host fun and creative activities to stimulate the imagination of all children who enter.

FISHING DERBY [VIEW THE FLYER]
The Canal Days Fishing Derby is Saturday morning from 8:00 – 10:00 in the morning. It will be held in the Miami Erie Canal behind the Post Office. The fishing derby is opened to all boys and girls, ages 0 – 13 years old. Prizes will be awarded to a boy and girl in multiple categories. Whether your fish is big or small, or not a fish at all, you have a chance to win! No pre-registration is required.
FFA PUTT PUTT GOLF
The Delphos FFA has a tradition of success and excellence when it comes to Agricultural Education. Why not stop by their Putt Putt Golf Course and show them your support! Located on the intersection of Main and Second Street, the FFA returns to Canal Days every year with their Golf Course to offer something more than your traditional carnival game.
KIDDIE TRACTOR PULL
The Delphos Young Farmers sponsor and run the Kiddie Tractor Pull each year. The pull will be held on Saturday with registration begins at 12 noon. Everyone 9 years old and younger can participant and awards are given away to the winners of each age group. Be there and see how far you can pull!
LITTLE MISS AND JUNIOR MISS PAGEANT [VIEW THE FLYER]
The Little Miss and Junior Miss Canal Days Pageants will once again be returning to the festival for their fourth consecutive year. Serving as a feeder program to prepare future contestants of the Canal Days Queen Pageant, the Little Miss and Junior Miss Pageant is an opportunity for all little girls to be princesses and meet the reigning Canal Days Queen.
The event will be broken down into 2 age groups. The Little Miss is ages 4-6, and the Junior Miss is ages 7-9 and is open to all area girls. The pageant will take place on Saturday, September 17 at 10:00 AM under the social tent with registration beginning at 9:00 AM. A short rehearsal for all participants is scheduled to begin at 9:30AM. There is a $5 fee to enter the pageant. All little girls participating in the pageant will receive a gift bag from the committee and sponsors.
The winners of the Little Miss and Junior Miss will both receive a crown, sash, official Canal Days T-Shirt, and a 1 day wristband for the Canal Days amusement rides. Both will also be showcased in Sunday’s Canal Days parade.

Bring your special pet to the Canal Days pet parade on Saturday morning beginning at 11:00 AM. This has become a huge event for Canal Days. Every child that has a pet may participate and win, even the more unconventional ones! They even have a costume category. The Pet Parade it is held on Second Street and Main in front of WDOH. Awards are given for Best of Show, Best Dog Division, Best Cat Division, Best Costume, Best Other, Best Trick, and Best of Show.
SIDEWALK CHALK ART CONTEST [VIEW THE FLYER]
The 15th Annual Chalk Art Competition will take place on Saturday 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM. Pre-registration is required and there are 3 divisions. They are Mini Division: 7 years or younger, Junior Division: 8 – 12 years old and Senior Division: 13 – 18 years of age. Forms are available at the Delphos Area Chamber of Commerce, the library, and will be available at all the schools beginning in August.
All registered teams will meet at 8:40 AM in front of Lion Clothing to be assigned a sidewalk area. Participants will receive an award and special awards will be given to the top team in each division.
